Framing Contractor in Maxton, NC
Wall, floor and roof framing for residential projects, built square, tight and ready for the trades that follow.
Framing Is the Part of the House Nobody Sees and Everyone Depends On
Framing is the skeleton of a wood-frame house: the floor joists, wall studs, headers and roof rafters or trusses that carry every other part of the building. Straight, well-fastened framing makes everything after it easier. Drywall lays flat, doors hang true, cabinets sit level, and the roof lines up. Crooked framing gets hidden by finishes for a while and then shows itself.
Framing is also where Jorge started. It is the work he has done longest, and it is what he wants to keep growing in. Everything else we do, including roofing, drywall, painting and remodeling, is built on understanding how a house goes together from the ground up.
In our climate, framing has some local demands. Lumber that touches concrete or the ground should be pressure-treated, termites are active across North Carolina, and storm-season wind calls for solid connections between the roof, walls and foundation. Doing those details right is invisible, which is why it is easy to skip and expensive to fix later.
Framing Work We Take On
What to Ask Before You Hire a Framer
Ask who is on the crew, who runs the job, and what the contractor frames most often. Framing is hard to inspect once drywall is up, so it is worth knowing the person behind it and checking their work as it goes. A framer who will walk you through the framing before it is covered is usually a good sign.
Ask whether the plans or a permit are required, because structural work in most places is reviewed and inspected. Ask how the quote covers lumber price changes, since lumber costs move. And ask what the contractor will do when the framing meets existing walls or floors that are not square.

Framing FAQs
What kinds of framing jobs do you take?
We frame walls, floors and roofs for residential projects, including additions, structural repairs and layout changes inside existing homes. Call and describe your project and we will tell you if it fits.
Can you remove a wall to open up my floor plan?
Often yes, once we determine whether the wall carries load. If it does, a properly sized beam and support posts replace it, and a permit may be required. We explain the options and the cost before we start.
Do you repair rotted framing?
Yes. Rotted studs, plates and joists are cut out and replaced or reinforced, and we look for the cause of the moisture so the repair lasts.
Why does treated lumber matter?
Wood that sits against concrete, soil or damp surfaces rots or attracts termites faster. Pressure-treated lumber resists both, so it is used for sill plates and anywhere framing meets the ground or concrete.
Do I need plans for framing work?
New rooms, additions and structural changes generally need drawings and a permit through your town or county. We can talk through what your project will need before quoting it.
Need Framing Done Right?
Describe the project and we will set up a time to look at the site and give you a written price.
